Were We Christians Before We Were Made to be Slaves?

I recently answered a question of weather or not Black people in America prayed to the same God before we were made slaves. The second part was should African Americans trust the Christian religion that was forced upon us during slavery.
I know many African Americans will boldly reply with "hell no". This is all due to the stripping of our African roots and abuse from the very people who told us that being a slave was our destiny approved by God. That is some serious trusting issues right there.

Well, as the child of God that I am I began to explain that her focus should not be on who did the wrong, but the fact that the Bible is God's word and was inspired by Him when the Apostles wrote it.
Yes, there were tamperings of the Bible. In Ezra 8:15 he speaks of how the Levitical priesthood was under surveillance and no sons or anyone of the Levi priesthood were even working in the temple anymore. Who was actually in the Temple (doing Satan's work)? The Kenites. Who are the Kenites? They are the children of Cain. Who is Cain? Cain is Satan's son. (Look for another blog on this subject: Who was in the Garden (Apples, Snakes and Twins-Oh My)
Rev 2:9
I know thy works, and tribulation, and poverty, (but thou art rich) and I know the blasphemy of them which say they are Jews, and are not, but are the synagogue of Satan
With that being stated, even with the "extras" that the Kenites added and deleted from the Bible, it can still be understood and trusted by rightly dividing the word of God. 2Timothy 2:15

Now, back to whom the Black man worshipped before slavery. I have personally herd a couple (white) people make the statement that had it not been for the White man all Black people would still be worshipping to idols under a bush. Now, this statement I'm sure will make any man cringe as I did when hearing this. But the truth of the matter is, maybe for some. Everyone in all four corners of the world must hear God's word, this is the manner, a poor unGodly manner, but still, a manner in which the Word was passed down.
Our duty now is to learn the correct Word of God for ourselves. God will justly deal with those false preachers and teachers during the slavery years.
To answer her question on weather or not Africans were even Christians before slavery. My dear friend, yes we were!
Acts 8:26-40
Explains how the Eunuch needed help understanding the Bible and God sent Philip to him in the middle of the desert! The man of Ethiopia was also baptized on that day by Philip, after he confessed his belief in God and His Son, Jesus Christ!
We are all God's children, and He loves us all equally. Slavery and all it's levels was and is still very traumatizing for African Americans. But God! He birthed a level of humility and strength in us that we know whose we are at all times.
I love you my brothers and sisters. Take well care of each other.
